The common starting point
Every engagement begins with a strategic intake to clarify what needs to shift, for whom, and why.
About Node North
The organizations I work with are trying to shift something real: a system, a behaviour, a policy, a perception.
That work is hard, underfunded, and often badly communicated. Audiences are saturated, attention is short, and most communication makes things look polished without making them clearer.
After fourteen years of making things move, the question stopped being whether I could do the work and became what the work actually does in the world. The climate is in crisis, the problems are real and urgent, and staying on the sidelines because the briefs are safer or the budgets bigger somewhere else stopped being an option. And no, I won't take the brief if I think the work won't matter.
